Alexis Slaninka, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of New York.  In 2001, I graduated from the University of Rochester, with a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and Human Development.

For the past fourteen years, I have worked within the mental health field.  My experience includes: working at an Employee Assistance Program, providing assessment, therapy and referral services for children, adolescents and adults within an individual, marital and family context.

I am known for my genuine, caring nature with my clients and my excellent rapport building skills.  My passion for this field is what drives my dedication, commitment and respect for my clients.  I believe my clients have the power for change within and I work with them to increase their overall emotional, behavioral and physical well-being.

As an integrative therapist, I utilize a variety of orientations and therapies, according to my clients' individual needs.   I believe in a holistic approach and consult with my clients' medical professionals, such as physicians and /or psychiatrists to provide the most comprehensive treatment plan.
